6th Grade Connects with Princeton Scientist
This past Thursday, 6th graders gathered in the Bay Room for a telepresence session with Dr. Robert Key , Lead Data Manager for the Southern Ocean Carbon and Climate Observation and Modeling (SOCCOM) project at Princeton University . They spoke with Dr. Key about the research SOCCOM is conducting with Antarctic floats, particularly the one our students named "Midnight Sun" that was deployed on March 4 in the Weddell Sea around Antarctica. Bayside was the only school in Alabama that was selected to name a float and collect data for real-world science investigations from Antarctica!
