CAR is one of ten autism research centers nationwide involved in study that will use new technology to look at the baby teeth of children who have siblings with autism, to learn whether prenatal exposure to certain chemicals might make these children more likely to develop autism spectrum disorder. This will be one of the first large-scale studies to examine whether chemicals might disrupt genetic functioning and brain development.

Eagles Chairman/CEO Jeffrey Lurie announced that the Eagles Charitable Foundation will be making a $1 million donation to the autism support autism programs at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and the research programs at CHOP's Center for Autism Research. The announcement was made at last night's inaugural Taking Flight for Autism fundraiser at Lincoln Financial Field. In addition, more than $300,000 in net proceeds from the event will also be donated

ALL AGES
This study of individuals with autism and their biological parents is open to all ages and can be done entirely from home with an online questionnaire and saliva DNA test.
3-12 MONTHS
Infants between the ages of 3 to 6 months with an older full sibling who is diagnosed with ASD
or is typically developing are eligible to enroll.
Infants between the ages of 6 to 12 months are eligible for a non-invasive brain imaging study specially developed for infants and toddlers to understand how brain processes change during child development.
Research on Autism and Developmental Disorders (ROADD)
Children ages 2-5 with OR without ASD may enroll. Children who have an older brother or sister with ASD may enroll at 12 months old.

Parents of any child between the ages of 18 months and 4 years (with or without ASD) are needed to help test a very simple app that measures how well children respond to their name in everyday environments.

Boys ages 6-17 with or without ASD are eligible to enroll in a study to understand how the brain processes information.
6-12 YEARS

This study is enrolling boys and girls ages 8-12 who:
- have
and are minimally verbal or nonverbal
- OR have a Developmental or Intellectual Disability (DD/ID)
12-17 YEARS
Teenaged boys and girls ages 12-16 with AND without ASD are eligible for this study to understand how brain processes change during child development.
Adolescent boys aged 14-17 who are diagnosed with ASD are invited to participate in this MEG study involving a single dose of arbaclofen.
