Miss Widner's News
Dear Students, Parents, Grandparents, and Staff,
Happy Easter!! I hope everyone had a blessed Easter and a wonderful Spring Break. It looks as if many students and staff went south for Spring Break as we can tell from the rosy cheeks!! If you stayed around Fort Wayne you still had rosy cheeks from the chilly winds! As I told you la few weeks ago, I went to Cincinnati to attend the NCEA Convention and present as well. I think Cincinnati was as chilly as Fort Wayne with the exception of one day. The presentation went very well! Many thanks to the teachers and students who donated their data folders to me so I could share their great information. Also, thanks to the 2nd grade for the video prayer! Everyone loved it!
Well, this is it! We are in the final quarter. Please keep encouraging your children to do their best. Sometimes these last few weeks of school can be kind of hard especially if the weather gets a bit warmer and we set our sights for the summer, BUT we still have one quarter to go so let's make it our best!
Prior to Spring Break, our NJHS went to St. Anne Nursing Home to deliver Easter Baskets and goodies. This was an all-school effort, and it was a huge success! The residents were very excited about their goodies as well as having a visit by our awesome students. Thanks so much to all who donated for the Easter baskets.
We look forward in seeing everyone at the Spring Musical this weekend, April 13-14. "Fiddler on the Roof, Jr." will be playing Friday at 1:30 and 7:00 PM and Saturday at 7:00 PM. The musical is under the direction of Mrs. Nancy Laudeman, one of our third grade teachers.

Have a wonderful week!

Miss Widner
Principal

This annual celebration of our students' artistic talent includes hundreds of pieces of artwork decorating the school halls and library, as well as performances by groups and individuals in the PAC.

The evening will begin with a brief update from the Home and School Association, including the election of next year's officers.  Following this will be performances by the school band, show choir, and talented student instrumentalists, dancers, and vocalists.  This is an event you don't want to miss!

The game will feature Tyler's Amazing Balance Act and post-game Fireworks (sponsored by Quality Dining, Inc). More importantly, the SEAS Show Choir will be singing the National Anthem so come out and show your support for this talented group of students!!!

BONUS!!! The school with the largest % of attendance (based on enrollment) gets $1 for every pre-sale ticket for Catholic Family Night. Venture onto an uncharted island where kids survive and thrive.  Anchor kids in the truth that Jesus carries them through life's storms.  Each day at Shipwrecked VBS, kids travel through rotations that reinforce the days and Bible Points and immerse them in new adventures.  One memorable Bible Point is reinforced throughout each station, each day - making it easy for them to apply the lessons long after VBS is over!

Student and adult volunteers are needed!
