Happy Birthday Buddha!
We are entering Wesak, a celebration of the life and death of this great master.
Jodie will be offering a gathering on May 26th at the center, in reverence to the enlightened one.
The message for this week is to realize the crippling thoughts that we produce over and over again, in our minds. What old story do you find yourself stuck in and playing through your mind. Whether it is from this lifetime or past ones. These debilitating thoughts are not from the essence of who you really are. They are scenarios, fears and injustices that we keep focusing on, that keep you stuck and make you feel inferior.
Buddha teaches that to live in peace, we need to do some inner work. St. Theresa of Avila says, we need to get the reptiles out of our castle! (From the book Entering the Castle.)
Rid yourself of your inner negative self talk. It is only a matter of self-awareness and control. We cannot control the outside world, but we CAN control our inner selves.
Which leads me to the next step.
After you realize that you are playing a record over and over again, with the same pitiful song going on in your mind, then the light has a chance to shine!
Awareness is the key to enlightenment. In fact, that is what enlightenment means- to shed light upon.
You are not your story, you are only living one.
You are a spiritual being living a life.

Kundalini Reiki is a 3 level energy healing system which can provide the practitioner with both energy healing as well as spiritual growth. (Levels 2 & 3 utilize both universal life force energy as well as kundalini energy allowing for the potential kundalini awakening and spiritual development.)

Join Jodie for a Wesak Meditation Celebration where we will soul-travel, in meditation, to the Wesak Valley of the Himalayas and participate in the gathering of the Ascended Masters.
