The Grand European Tour 

While virtually exploring the best of Europe, Azpira Place of Lake Zurich residents tackled some hands-on projects inspired by various countries’ artistic and culinary traditions. 


“Scherenschnitte” Swiss Paper Cutting
Armed with an image of nature in their minds’ eye and some nifty scissor skills, residents tried their hands at the art of Swiss paper-cutting, known as Scherenschnitte (literally, scissor cuts). The results were beautiful! 
French Crepe-Making Demo
Bistro Culinarian Lori hosted a creative cooking demo to show residents how to make France’s national favorite – la crepe! A variety of fillings and toppings allowed residents to customize their tasty crepes. Residents praised them as, “The best crepes we’ve ever eaten!”
