President's Message:

Dear Clients and Friends,

Ahh, Spring is here! Although weather here in Chicago doesn't quite seem like Spring yet, I still feel blessed as I see the many challenges other areas of the country and the world have faced this past season. We are so fortunate to have the moderating weather in this area and can look forward to Spring's approach.

As I have promised you in the last few issues, I'm excited to announce the new services we are offering to both families and professionals. Over the past 29 years, we have provided special needs assistance to families as well as to professionals. These have been primarily delivered in person or by phone, on a one-on-one basis.

Over the last few years, we have found more and more families looking for assistance in navigating the special needs world. Here at Protected Tomorrows, we put our heads together to find an enhanced way to help families and professionals. With the use of technology, online and video conference group sessions, and even a new in-person Retreat Experience, we can teach more families to become self-sufficient in their planning as well as accomplishing this in a cost effective way. The best part is having everyone become more confident in their ability to understand the steps along the way. My goal has always been to "teach people to fish" rather than to "fish for them". I think with these new offerings, we will be able to reach more families, train other professionals to assist them when necessary in the cities where the families live, and build a community that will help us all get stronger.

You'll read more about this below. Those we have shared this with already are excited; we hope you and your friends will be too. I look forward to your feedback,

As always, thank you for allowing us to be of service to your families!

Mary Anne Ehlert,
