Reunion Resort Golf Getaway
28 of our members descended on the Reunion Resort in Orlando for a girls getaway golf weekend on the 27th and 28th. The Watson course had 172 sand traps and we’re pretty sure we visited them all. The Palmer course was much kinder - although we left quite a few balls in their lakes. We averaged 4 hours of sleep a night and had our fair share of tequila. Laurie Villa also had her best round of golf (95!). Most members have recovered and are back on the links. What a time we had!!! Special thanks to Michelle and Celeste for putting this trip together. IT WAS PERFECT!

Cinco De Mayo
Our inaugural “Cinco de Mayo” event was success! Even though we only had 18 players, the booze count did disappoint. The 18 players easily consumed 48 + shots of prickly pear margaritas!

The winners of our “JUEGO DE CINCO”(games of fives):

First place                       Celeste Methot
Tied for second               Vicky Keith
                                         Ronnie Hall
                                         Sherri Kelty
Third Place                       Susan Geers

Even though they were not in the money alternate prizes were awarded to Ann Poe and Suzanne Blaksley

Applications for the 2019 Women on Par Scholarship Program are being accepted now! This year the focus has been narrowed in order to have a more direct impact on our members and their family’s lives. We’re excited to announce we have changed the eligibility requirements to only LPGA Amateur members, daughters and granddaughters of members.

The 2019 Women on Par Scholarship application will remain open until 200 applications are received or May 31 of the application year – whichever occurs first.  Read more about Women on Par and the eligibility requirements.
Membership Directory Search Updated

The ability to expand your personal and business network is one of the benefits of being a member of the LPGA Amateurs Golf Association. We have heard stories from members who have relocated to a new area and found their real estate broker, banker and insurance agent through the  Membership Directory Search  (and therefore brought business to other members). The Membership Directory is also a great way to connect with members from other Chapters when traveling.
The Membership Directory Search function has recently been updated to include Industry, Company Name and Golf Skill Level fields to make searches more specific and easier for members to use.
Please take a few minutes to review and update your member profile to add your company name and include your industry. Maintaining an updated profile enables other members to easily locate you, and you never know what business or personal connections can follow.
 To update your profile:
  1.  Visit LPGAAmateurs.com
  2.  Press Sign In in the right corner
  3.  Visit My Profile
  4.  Press Account, in Personal Information you can edit your information such as industry, career level, and company name
  5.  After you have edited your information, press Save
Please note: if you need to update your address, email address, or phone number visit Contact Information under Account.
