Congratulations to the Middle School girls soccer team on their playoff win - defeating BPY 8-0. We wish them luck in their championship game Monday night at TABC at 6:30pm!

HIGH SCHOOL

Soccer Champions!!

The RKYHS girls Varsity Soccer Team defeated Ma'ayanot by a score of 5-1 to capture the Metropolitan Yeshiva High School championship in girls soccer. This victory was the culmination of an outstanding regular and post-season. The team dominated the game from beginning to end, displaying their talent and sportsmanship. This marks the first time in RKYHS history that our girls varsity soccer team has won the championship!


Congratulations to the RKYHS girls varsity hockey team on their playoff win over Maayanot! We wish them luck at their championship game on
Monday, 6/11 @ 6:30 PM  at Frisch vs. Heschel.
 

As a culminating experience for the senior class, the RKYHS Class of 2018 participated in a senior trip.  The trip included white water rafting, a visit to Dorney Park amusement park, and a delicious BBQ dinner and plenty of time for bonding!

The RKYHS student-athletes gathered for their annual end of the year awards. Participants from all 24 teams, coaches, and several faculty all celebrated a year full of accomplishments and achievements. Rabbi Rubin addressed the group as well reminding the students that sports is a great vehicle to prepare for life's challenges. Categories of awards included; MVP, Most Improved and coaches awards. 
Throughout the year RKYHS students learned masechet taanit with Rabbi Sharbat for the YU Bekiut program.  The YU High School Bekiut program enhances textual skills of students across the country. The students celebrated their completion of the masechet this morning with a siyum after davening.  Jacob Colchamiro and Eli Novick who participated in the bekiut program,  were top scorers in the country.

The work of RKYHS art students is proudly featured in the Livingston Public Library as their June Art Exhibit.  Students from all four grades are represented with 47 pieces in total being displayed. The exhibition will stay there for the whole month of June.

Sophomore girls got together this week for a grade breakfast with faculty members where they had the opportunity to reflect on their year. 
RKYHS Students enjoyed their last Tisch of the year with singing, dancing, inspiring divrei Torah by faculty members and students - and chulent!

We are so proud of  Adina Lichtman (JKHA ''07/RKYHS '11) who was selected for the "36 Under 36" List for the Jewish Week of young people making a difference. Adina is directly impacting the lives of the homeless through her organization  Knock Knock Give a Sock.  


Mrs. Mintz has been learning weekly via Google Hangout with alumni Arielle Zadok and Leora Wolkoff (Both RKYHS '16). They culminated their learning about lashon hara with a "lashon hara free dinner" with fellow alumni at
Mrs. Mintz's home.
