Great news: Your participation in Quality Counts has caught the attention of researchers at the University of California, Berkeley’s Center for the Study of Child Care Employment (CSCCE) for a national study! They want to hear from you, directors and teaching staff, as part of their SEQUAL (Supportive Environmental Quality Underlying Adult Learning) study to find out how your workplace supports its teaching staff in learning and continuing to develop their knowledge and skills on the job. FREE Summer Meals for Children & Youth - Sign Up Today!
Summer BreakSpot, a program that provides free meals to children and youth ages birth-18 years at participating service sites, is underway. We encourage
ALL
children and youth summer program providers to contact sponsors
TODAY
to secure participation at each of their program service sites. Be sure to confirm available menus (hot or cold) and delivery times
BEFORE
making a decision on which sponsor best meets the needs of your participants and program environment.
In addition, we strongly urge providers to designate their program service sites as “open sites,” where children and youth ages birth-18 years living in their communities may also participate in the free meals program, even if they do not participate in provider programming.
Open sites serve a critical role in minimizing food insecurity in Miami-Dade while schools are closed and are, for some children, a literal lifesaver. The Children’s Trust is also supporting Florida Impact efforts to increase accessibility to summer meals for those children who have no access to open sites, through pediatric clinics and WIC and HUB sites. - Assessor - CIFFTA Family Strengthening Program - Part-Time To serve as a key team member of the Culturally Informed and Flexible Family Based Treatment for Adolescents (CIFFTA) Family Strengthening program. Responsibilities include serving as the primary contact person for referral sites; coordinating referrals across programs and partner agencies; scheduling and conducting assessment interviews with adolescents and parents; engaging families to ensure participation; and data collection and tracking to ensure data quality assurance and reporting. - Family Community Specialist - Part-Time To serve as a link between families and various programs to support care coordination and community engagement. Minimum high school diploma; Florida CHW Certification preferred. Must possess bilingual fluency (English/Spanish), literacy in Microsoft Office Suite, valid Florida driver’s license and auto insurance, or confirmed access to alternative transportation. Experience working with hispanic families a big plus. This is a part-time position of approximately 20-25 hours/week, afternoon to evening shifts with an occasional Saturday work day.
- Natural Helpers/PCIT Coaches focus on promoting protective factors of families with children with challenging behavior by working hand in hand with University of Miami PCIT therapists. Position provides PCIT coaching at home and in the community based on specialized training, and assists families served to highlight existing strengths. This is a contracted position and flexibility is required to accommodate families' various schedules. Bachelor’s degree in mental health or related field preferred, or minimum two years' related experience plus some college or CHW certification. Bilingual fluency (English/Spanish) also preferred. Must possess ability to work remotely as well as in an office setting; and a valid Florida driver’s license and auto insurance, or confirmed access to alternative transportation as position requires local travel for home visits.

- BNET (Behavioral Health Specialty Network) Case Manager To provide community-based targeted case management services to assigned clients experiencing mental health or substance use disorders, as well as medical issues, including but not limited to assessing clients’ needs for social, educational, nutritional, medical and other support services; client advocacy and linkage to such services; and monitoring the provision of all wraparound services. All case management services must be provided in accordance with funding contract requirements and ICFH policies and procedures, as well as all applicable laws and regulations.
- Developmental Specialist II To work alongside a pediatrician in providing babies/toddlers and their families with a comprehensive approach to health care that supports parents in their roles as nurturers of the emotional, behavioral, intellectual and physical growth of their children. Bachelor's level degree in mental health or related field; degree in child development preferred. Proven knowledge in the areas of child development, infant mental health, family functioning, child abuse and neglect and resistant clients a must.
- Functional Family Therapy (FFT) Program Supervisor To provide clinical supervision and documentation review to ensure that services are family centered, and focused on increasing youth’s ability to successfully cope with life challenges and build resiliency using fidelity to the FFT model. Must also ensure services are provided in a timely manner, are of high quality and are consistent with eligibility criteria, in accordance with the contract/funder, COA standards, agency policies and procedures, and in compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Must possess master’s degree from an accredited college or university in social work, marriage and family therapy or mental health counseling; active license with Florida Board of Clinical Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy and Mental Health Counseling; and be an approved qualified supervisor or become a qualified supervisor in the state of Florida within 30 days of hire.
- Hourly Direct Therapists (Part-Time & Full-Time) Licensed and unlicensed; responsibilities include, but are not limited to, conducting intakes (licensed only), participating in monthly case staffing meetings, and implementing therapeutic treatment plans for emotionally disturbed children/adolescents through individual, group therapy and behavioral management. Must possess minimum master's level degree in social work, mental health counseling, marriage and family therapy or psychology; current state of Florida license or registered intern status in the state of Florida; two years' experience with severely emotionally disturbed children; knowledge in areas of child development, family functioning, child abuse and neglect, and resistant clients; and experience/skill in collaborating with other disciplines and services.
- Mental Health Targeted Case Manager To provide community-based case management services to assigned clients, including, but not limited to, assessing clients need for services; advocating and linking to services; and monitoring of services. All case management services must be provided in accordance with the Medicaid Mental Health Targeted Case Management Handbook, ICFH policies and procedures, and all applicable laws and regulations. Must possess at minimum bachelor's degree from accredited university or college with a major in counseling, social work, psychology, criminal justice, nursing, rehabilitation, special education, health education or a related human services field; one year of full-time or equivalent of related case management experience working with children with serious emotional disturbances, and a résumé that clearly reflects related experience.
