Congratulations to Zone 9's Rachel Long of Horseshoe Bend, Idaho,  who attended the USHJA Gold Star Clinic - West at HITS Desert Horse Park in Thermal, Calif., Jan. 18-21. Rachel's sister, Kayla Long, also attended the clinic as an auditor.  Click here to read about the clinic.

"It was awesome. I learned so much from everybody. There wasn't one person I didn't learn from. I'm very excited to get home and use all these things and apply them to other horses and see the differences and similarities," Rachel Long said.

"I am very glad I came to audit," said Kayla Long. "I thought it was a great week. Even without riding I learned a lot. Listening to the workshops and thinking how it applied to my horse, it was really nice."
