By formally recognizing those who have dedicated considerable time, knowledge, expertise and resources on behalf of children that have resulted in real change and lasting impact, The Trust hopes to motivate others to also work toward improving the lives of our children and families. Grant Opportunity: Parenting Programs
The Children’s Trust has released a competitive solicitation for a new five-year funding cycle for parenting programs. Funding for parenting programs will be available for:

  • Group parenting and advocacy programs
  • Individual and home visitation programs

We also suggest that you visit the Grants section of our site for important information about applicant eligibility, general programmatic funding requirements, legal requirements and much more. SPARK: Upcoming Training
The Children's Trust is sponsoring a SPARK curriculum training for YAS providers on Friday, January 26, 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. , at the South Dade YMCA Family Center, 9355 SW 134th Street, Miami, FL 33176. If your agency implements SPARK for its fitness programming, the staff member who delivers your SPARK curriculum should attend. Registration required; reserve your spot via our community calendar. Early Childhood Mental Health Consultant - Request for Proposals
YWCA of Greater Miami-Dade announces a Request for Qualifications (RFP) to secure an early childhood mental health consultant for its Head Start program. Successful candidate will provide mental health consultation and support to Early Head Start and Head Start staff, children and families in an effort to promote the school readiness of low-income children by enhancing their cognitive, social and emotional development. Teacher - After School
Centro Mater West seeks a part-time after-school teacher to provide developmentally appropriate activities in accordance with accreditation standards, and to ensure compliance with funding sources guidelines. Available Positions at YMCA of South Florida

  • After-School Counselors To be responsible for the daily supervision of a group of up to 15 children, including the planning and implementation of activities. Counselors must enjoy working with children ages 5-12, be able to work effectively in multiple settings, communicate with parents/guardians in a professional and courteous manner, and maintain daily attendance records. Must be at least 18 years of age and possess a high school diploma or GED equivalent; ability to communicate effectively, motivate students and lead a group; ability to respond to safety and emergency situations; and ability to assist children with homework in the English language. Bilingual fluency (English/Spanish) a plus. As a condition of employment, all applicants are required to submit to and satisfactorily clear a thorough Level 2 fingerprinting background screening.
  • Infant/Toddler Teachers For its Homestead location.
