100 entrepreneurs, suppliers, media and other leaders in the $48 billion orthopedic industry.
The event kicked off with a keynote speech from the mayor of Doral,
Juan Carlos Bermudez, who then introduced his long-time friend, and OrthoNOW's CEO,
Dr. Alejandro Badia. Over 20 C-level executives, thought leaders, and medical experts gave presentations, led panel discussions, interactive workshops and training sessions on the latest news, developments and best practices in healthcare delivery. Some of the topics discussed were: Equipping the Center of the Future, Telemedicine, Franchise Growth Models, Price Transparency, Orthobiologics, Opioid-free Treatment of Chronic Pain, Corporate Wellbeing, Arthritis Awareness, and Patient Engagement, among others.

Northwell Health Adopts gGastro Endoscopy Report Writer

Specialty-specific health information technology leader
Modernizing Medicine, based in Boca Raton, recently announced that
Northwell Health will begin using the
gGastro enterprise Endoscopy Report Writer (ERW) at over 20 hospitals and ambulatory surgery centers (ASCs) in its network. Northwell Health, New York's largest healthcare provider and private employer, has already begun implementing the endoscopy solution by
gMed, a Modernizing Medicine company, at
Staten Island University Hospital with more locations to follow. Northwell selected gGastro because it needed an enterprise endoscopy solution that would provide robust clinical reports, manage quality metrics and enable it to conduct research at its hospitals, as well as office-based endoscopy and ambulatory endoscopy centers.
