Employers face challenges every day in complying with the web of wage and hour laws that govern their treatment of employees.  As running afoul of wage and hour regulations can be very costly, even for those employers with the best intentions, employers must ensure that their wage and hour policies and procedures are compliant with the federal Fair Labor Standards Act as well as state wage/hour statutes.
Please join us for this workshop as we discuss some common mistakes employers make in paying their employees, including:
  • The misclassification of an individual as an exempt employee
  • Taking improper deductions from an exempt employee's salary
  • Failing to pay hourly employees for all hours worked
  • Reducing the hourly wage of hourly employees below minimum wage
  •  Failing to implement a comprehensive Wage and Hour Policy
