Am I At Risk For Diabetes?
If you have asked yourself this question, there is an easy way to find out. You can take a 2 minute quiz at
https://doihaveprediabetes.org. If you are at risk for Type 2 Diabetes, you have up to a 1 in 4 chance of developing Type 2 Diabetes, a disease that doubles your chance of Heart attack, Stroke, and Alzheimer's, along with a variety of other devastating health issues. The good news is that Broomfield is taking effective action to help.
With 1.5 million prediabetics in Colorado, the City and County of Broomfield has engaged the Wellness Journey Partnership, a professional coaching small business here in Broomfield, to offer the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) sponsored Diabetes Prevention Program. New classes will be held at the
Paul Derda Recreation Center at various times starting the week of March 5. Sixteen classes are held over a period of 6 months, followed by six classes over the ensuing six months. Please go to
www.wellnessjourneypartnership.com or
