We're delighted to host Rabbi Dr. Laura Duhan Kaplan this coming Shabbat morning. Laura will offer a teaching on the Torah portion (Vayikra), and also discuss Limmud Vancouver, the remarkable two-day-long exploration of Jewish thought, culture and life which is taking place in about a month (April 14-15). She is one of the key organizers of Limmud Vancouver, and has deep roots in the Jewish community in this area.
Laura arrived in 2005 and served for ten years as Rabbi at Or Shalom after teaching religious studies, philosophy and women's studies at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. She is now on the faculty of the Vancouver School of Theology, along with the ALEPH (Jewish Renewal) rabbinical seminary. We look forward to learning from her this Shabbat!
