The Tradical Bros will be joining us in worship again this Sunday, March 18th. They are a trio of traditional Celtic musicians from Southern California which features Andrew Schuman on mandolin, Eric Schuman on Irish bouzouki and tin whistle, and Reece Miller on accordion and flute. Their passion for the music comes to life in every performance!

Reflection for Worship . . .

Jeremiah 31:31-34
The prophet Jeremiah worked and prophesied during a difficult time - he understood that the Israelites were caught between two mighty powers, Babylon and Egypt. The Northern Kingdom of Israel had already fallen to the Assyrians in 722 BCE. And now around 625 the life of the Southern Kingdom of Israel was threatened by these two on the eastern and western borders. Jeremiah had the unenviable task of telling people that destruction was on the horizon. Suffice it to say, Jeremiah was not the life of any party! And yet... he gives us one of the most beautiful images of what might be coming beyond the despair and destruction - a new covenant with God where our God's laws and words would be written upon our very hearts, never to be forgotten or misplaced. He reassured people in his own sobering manner that God was not yet done with us and would lead us anew. Helpful words for anyone or any nation to hear. What you see and experience now is not the final word!! Join us for worship this Sunday as we observe the 5th Sunday in Lent and hear the wonderful music of our guest Celtic musicians!!! How fitting for this St. Patrick's Day weekend. Our One Great Hour of Sharing offering will be taken up this Sunday. See more info below for the recipients of this offering. You may put cash or a check in the OGHS envelope.

Hope to see you Sunday!

Chasing Francis is a modern tale for someone in a faith crisis, set against the story of St. Francis from the early 1200's.
Palm Sunday Picnic at McDonald Park

Following worship on March 25th we will all head to McDonald Park. Put on your church t-shirt and join us! Plan to bring side dishes and drinks to share that are adult and kid friendly. Paper goods and utensils will be provided. We have reserved tables for our use. The day will include some games and an Easter Egg hunt for the kids. The park is located at 1000 E. Mountain Ave. on the corner of Bell/Wilson/Mountain in Bungalow Heaven, just 1.5 miles from our church.

Peace Parade on Palm Sunday

For the last several years, persons from our staff and congregation have joined in the Peace Parade here in Pasadena, providing a witness for the city for those issues and persons that have little or no voice - particularly victims of gun violence and those without housing. See the attached flyer and come join us as we walk in support of our neighbors and those in need of a stronger voice in our city!   The 16th Annual Pasadena Peace Parade is on Sunday, March 25th starting at 3 pm at the Reformation Church at 570 Orange Grove Blvd.

One Kit Saves Two Lives - Saturday, APRIL 7th,
9 - 2 P.M. at Salem Lutheran Church, 1211 N. Brand Blvd., Glendale.

It's an incredible human tragedy.
aid africa Over a million African babies are estimated to die in the first 4 weeks of life - up to half on the first day. Many babies are not named until six weeks of life so the mourning of mothers and families is often hidden. And 1 in 13 mothers die of causes related to pregnancy and childbirth.

Imagine that - you can SAVE TWO LIVES! But to pull it off, we'll need volunteers to assemble kits and lots of generous sponsors to help cover the cost. Will you join us in purchasing and/or assembling kits?

A Sponsor kit is just $10 including shipping,
