NJ Makers Day 2018
 
4th Annual NJ Makers Day hosted by Cresskill Library on March 10th, 2018 was a huge success. Minecraft Club
Monday, March 19,
3:30 - 4:30 pm        


   Kids in Grades 3 through 5 are invited to join the Minecraft Club. Minecraft is a video game about placing blocks and going on adventures. 

Please bring your own laptop with Minecraft already downloaded.

Every Monday & Thursday, 3:30 - 5 pm
 
Volunteer Homework Helpers will be available to assist students in K through 6. Drop in, no need to sign up. Homework helpers meets every week except when the school is closed.

Beginner Scratch Coding Club for Kids

Students in Grades 2 and up will be introduced to the concepts of programing using Scratch, a free visual programming language developed by the students at MIT.

Overview 
After a huge sensitive Spanish fighting bull named Ferdinand accidentally sits on a bee and reacts badly, he's mistakenly believed to be a danger to people and taken away to a remote farm. There he meets other animals who soon become his friends. When Ferdinand is picked to fight in a stadium, he decides that the only option is to try to escape and return home to the little girl who raised him. He and his friends steal a truck and leave with other farm animals. During their journey, Ferdinand discovers that he is willing to fight to protect his friends.

Mythic Atlantis

Hercules Invictus invites you for a lecture on Mythic Atlantis at Cresskill Library. He has been exploring the fringes of reality his entire life and has been sharing his experience publicly for over four decades. He founded, among other things, the Regional Folklore Society of Northeastern PA and the Center for the Study of Living Myth (CSLM) in NJ.

Tai Chi @ Cresskill Library

Join Nancy Hoffman for another session on Tai Chi. It is an ancient Chinese tradition that, today is practiced as a graceful form of exercise. It involves a series of movements performed in a slow, focused manner and accompanied by deep breathing which have led to improve health, fitness well being and longevity.

The Friends of Cresskill Library have also partnered with TD Bank to provide an easy way to raise money for the library. Library patrons can visit the TD Bank and find out more about the Affinity Membership Program when they open a new account and inform their TD Bank Representative that they are affiliated with Cresskill Library (Code AH590). Existing TD Bank customers can enroll too. All information regarding participating accounts will be kept confidential.
     
ConnectOne Bank Affinity Program
 
The Friends of Cresskill Library have partnered with ConnectOne Bank which will make annual donations through their Affinity Program. There is no cost involved to join the Affinity Program. Contributions are based on a percentage of the total balances that members and supporters of Friends of Cresskill Library have on deposit. Account balances or any other personal information for clients supporting the Friends of Library will be kept confidential.
