Due to the ever-increasing threat of hackers and online theft, The First National Bank and Trust of Newtown will be upgrading the complexity requirements for your Online Banking password.

Beginning on March 21, 2018, Online Banking passwords will need to be at least eight characters long and will need to contain at least one numeric character.

What does this mean:
The first time you log into Online Banking after March 202018, your password will be checked to ensure it meets the new length and complexity requirements. If it does not, you will be forced to change your password at that time before continuing.

What should I do:
If your password already meets the new complexity and length requirements, you do not need to do anything. However, if your password is less than eight characters long, or if it does not contain letters and at least one number, you should take a moment to update it. Note: We recommend a password that contains upper case and lower case letters, numbers, and symbols.

To change your password:
Log into Online Banking and click "Preferences" on the top menu. Next, on the light blue menu bar, click "Change Password". You will see three boxes to type into. In the first box, type your current Online Banking password. In the second and third boxes, enter your new Online Banking password. Finally, click Submit. If you did everything correctly, you will see a message that says, "Your password has been successfully changed".

Please Note: This change does not affect the password for Mobile Banking on our App or eStatements.
