2018 School Climate Survey
Our annual anonymous parent survey is now ready for you to give us your opinions about our school. Lake Nona Middle School administrators and faculty are already beginning to plan for next year, but we need parent input also. Parents will be prompted to select the school before beginning the survey. Thank you in advance for investing a little time to complete this year's short survey. Your views are greatly appreciated: Link below:

Student Lunch Accounts
Does your child's lunch account show an overdrawn amount? Our school meal program operates independently of district-wide budgets and relies on sales to cover food and labor costs. Please clear up accounts to prevent escalating unpaid meal debts. Letters will go out next week to parents that need to pay on a negative balance. If this applies to your household, thank you in advance for your support.

Knight Volunteer
LNMS student Mia Muniz quietly makes community service a priority . . .

Mia Muniz (far right) at the United Against Poverty site on MLK Day earlier this month

Mia Muniz volunteers regularly at United Against Poverty in Orlando, but MLK Day (Monday, January 15th) is an annual tradition for her family to carry on Dr. King's legacy through community outreach.

Mia is very humble about her efforts, but she had no issue giving up her day off from school to get up early and go clean and stock shelves at the United Against Poverty grocery store on East Michigan Street. It can be quite easy to volunteer and give back to the community as Mia has proven. We are very proud of her wonderful efforts to help others!

If you want happiness for a lifetime -
