I thought I would change it up a bit this week. All we seem to hear about 24/7 on all of the major news networks is the budget, shut downs, and the giving of monies to pet projects of major voting blocks. We can't even pass a budget of more than two weeks.
It's a give me my free lunch and I will keep you in power (as long as I keep getting what I want). Someone new gets in power and they try to take away everything the last person gave away.
We are developing a citizenry of dependent people, needing all kinds free of things from the government to allow them to live as they desire. The government is willing to give it to them as long as they conform, support the right people and vote the right way.
There is no free lunch. It is paid for by those who do not conform, support the right people or vote the right way, usually those who chose to work for their success.
When someone tries to level the playing field, they are told they don't care about others and on and on. Maybe we should push for less government and more citizen responsibility. We are all endowed by our creator with amazing talents and abilities. Let's pledge to use some of them. Less government is better government.
