Do justice. Love mercy. Walk humbly before your God. -William J. Barber II (quoting Micah)

No Time for a Casual Faith

My heart is moved by all I cannot save:
so much has been destroyed
I have to cast my lot with those
who age after age, perversely, with no extraordinary power
reconstitute the world.
-Adrienne Rich

I feel so fortunate that we were graced, last evening, with the presence of our UUA president, The Rev. Susan Frederick Gray. She reminded us in this time of heartbreak  and challenge, that "this is no time for a casual faith." She reminded us too, that it "requires a deep practice of our faith." That our mission lies both outside and inside the walls of our church, and that we may never know how many lives we touch.

If you were unable to attend the gathering, you can listen to her words and the questions asked.

How might I take my faith seriously? How might I practice my faith deeply?
