Marquette Unveils Class of 2018 Summa Cum Laude Honorees
21 Seniors Boast Grade-Point Averages of 4.00 or Higher 
Marquette Catholic High School is proud to release its Class of 2018 Summa Cum Laude graduates. This year's group consists of 21 students: Anastasia Barron, Margaret Beeler, Will Cannon, Cecilia Dickson, Joseph Disser, Paiton Downs, Nadia Flores, Thomas Gotsch, Camille Hall, Buddy Jaffee, Keegan Long, Mackenzie Marovich, Kyle McGrew, Destiny Miller, Logan Novak, Penelope Prokuski, Leslie Reyes, John Roder, Caleb Sheets, Jack White, and Nicole Xu

Students earn Summa Cum Laude distinction by possessing a cumulative grade-point average (GPA) of 4.00 or higher. Of the 21 students included in the noteworthy category, 80 percent either studied or traveled abroad. Additionally, each student earned an average of 25 dual credit hours. 

The list of colleges and universities which have already accepted this group includes: Alma College, AMDA New York, Andrews University, Ball State University, Baylor University, Bethany College, Butler University, Carthage College, Centre College, Columbia University-Chicago, Defiance College, DePauw University, Ferris State University, Grace College, Dominican University, Hollins University, Indiana University, IUPUI, Indiana University South Bend, John Carroll University, Loyola University-Chicago, Manchester University, Marian University, Marquette University, Miami University (OH), Millikin University, New York University, North Park University, Purdue University, Purdue Northwest, Roosevelt College, Saint Mary's College, University of Indianapolis, Valparaiso University, and Wright State University.

Students are still awaiting confirmation of acceptance from University of Notre Dame, UCLA, University of Edinburgh (UK), Cambridge University, University of Manchester (UK).

Marquette's commencement is set for Thursday, May 31st at 7 pm inside the Scholl Center.
