Open (Drop-In) Small Group
Thursday, March 15, 7:00 PM in Annex B
Small Group Ministry is an ideal way to connect to others and tend to your heart and spirit at UUCP. Life can feel like a frenzied struggle against a materialistic world, which leaves us feeling disconnected from our deepest selves and without the energy to reach out in love and service to others. They follow the monthly worship themes and offer a way to engage the themes in your daily life and grow and learn with a group while sharing your own story, insights and learnings.

Exploring Your UU Identity
Wednesdays, March 21-April 18 from 6:30 PM-8:30 PM in the Johnson Room
Facilitator: Rev. Margret A. O'Neall
What does it mean to be a Unitarian Universalist? In this six-session class we will explore the theology, history and organization of our UU religious tradition, along with our faith's core commitments to lifelong learning and social justice. Participants will be encouraged to discover and articulate their own Unitarian Universalist identity through the various "lenses" of our historic and open-ended way of faith.

Boundary Setting and Negotiating
Thursday, March 22, 6:30 PM-8:30 PM in Annex B
Facilitators: Mary Dawes and Natalie Fabert
Two-hour workshop to learn and practice skills that you can apply in the workplace and in relationships. One essential part of healthy and productive relationships is establishing good boundaries. Boundaries can be rules and principles that guide you and establish what you will or won't allow in a relationship. Negotiation is a dialogue between people over one or more issues, intended to reach a constructive outcome. Developing these skills will reduce conflict and promote results that satisfy both/all participants.

Curiosity and Vulnerability: A path toward better listening
Saturdays, April 14, 21 and 28, 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM in Annex C
Facilitator: Phil Weaver-Stoesz

The Critical Response Process is a step-by-step process to give and receive feedback, embrace vulnerability and dismantle  defensiveness. The process teaches you to lean on the virtues of curiosity and open inquiry to facilitate difficult conversations and can be applied to any "work-in-progress" -
whether it's an artistic goal, a relationship, or a personal area of growth. The 3-part course will teach us to transform discomfort into inquiry.
