RUSSELL PATRICK STALLINGS
Russell Stallings, owner of Southwest Texas Aviation, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, September 1.

Russell has been a part of the San Marcos family since the 1980s and will be greatly missed by the flying community.

His family shared a tribute to Russell on the company website which in part reads: "Russell was passionate about his business and probably knew more about the Cirrus, Diamond, and Mooney lines of aircraft than any other single person walking the face of this Earth today.  His loss, while very personal to us, is a bigger loss to the General Aviation community."

The family appreciates the outpouring of condolences but asks that phone calls to the hangar be limited to business-related inquiries so as not to overwhelm staff.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 3 at the First Christian Church of San Marcos. An exact time has not been set.

The family is planning a special memorial service at the SWTA hangar. We will send out a special newsletter with more information on both services as soon as we know more.
