We’re all short an hour of sleep, but with a “Battle of the Bay” slam poetry throwdown and a whole new Student Media Academy workshop coming up, we at the PMC are starting off Daylight Savings Season on a high note. Student Media Academy, a workshop series curated to teach useful skills for the world of publications and media. The workshop will be an hour long, followed by a reception (HOT DRINKS & HOT TAKES, a PMC event focused on united the PUBS & MEDIA community) catered by Cheese n Stuff.c

Feminist Press in conjunction with Asian American Writers' Workshop present Rowan Hisayo Buchanan and Esmé Weijun Wang celebrating the release of Go Home!, edited by Rowan Hisayo Buchanan with foreword by Viet Thanh Nguyen, published by The Feminist Press.

Battle of the Bay. We have a very special slam for you today. The Berkeley CUPSI team, Stanford, USC, & a mystery team will be competing against each other in a giant Battle Royale before heading to the College Unions Poetry Slam Invitational in April. Get pumped, because this is going to be some of the best poetry you have ever heard! #battleofthebay #cupsi2018

Publication Spotlight
The UC Berkeley Comparative Literature Undergraduate Journal showcases the premier undergraduate research in Comparative Literature across the world. The Journal welcomes submissions critically engaging with topics in Literature from a comparative stance, such as interdisciplinary research across disciplines within the arts and sciences, research engaging with literary theory and schools of thought or criticism
Delta Kappa Alpha is a National, Co-Educational, Professional Cinema Fraternity for recruiting and fostering students with creative talent and a passion for cinema. PMC Staff Spotlight
Soo is a 4th-year media studies major and she is an international student from South Korea. Her role in PMC is Equipment Checkout and she is very excited to work at the PMC in the upcoming Fall. Soo hopes this experience will be the foundation to work as a TV producer in the future.
Elena is a fourth year CogSci and Rhetoric double major on the Programs Team at PMC. When she's not binge-watching Gossip Girl, she loves traveling, tap-dancing, and eating out more often than she should.
