A Note from  Susan Holt

You received an email earlier this weekend from Jan Wintrol, letting you know her plans  to retire as Ivymount Corporation CEO within the coming year.

I know that I speak for everyone when I say that we are so grateful for  Jan's dedication to our school and programs. She has had a  profound effect on our students and families, our staff, and professionals in the field. The Ivymount Corporation Board has formed a selection committee to oversee the process.  Please click here for a few more details.

Las t Friday's PTA meeting was well attended and very helpful. Thanks to all for joining us! Please see the note below regarding our new Room Parent program and also check out the details for our second annual family St. Patrick's Day Dance. 

We hope that you will save the date for Ivymount's 6th Annual Special Needs Resource Fair. Registration is now open for exhibitors. Please help spread the word to interested vendors. Scroll down for more details and a link to register. We'll share more information about the event in the coming weeks.

Ivymount School & Programs




Our PTA is looking for Room Parent volunteers to help coordinate class holiday parties and teacher appreciation week, and help communicate with their classes about upcoming events.

This program will provide an opportunity for parents to meet other parents in their child's classroom and  will help make a difference in each families' experience at Ivymount  by  continuing to foster a strong sense of community. 

We promise that  this role will not be too time consuming. 
Room Parents will primarily coordinate volunteer activities for their child's classroom, but NOT do too much of the heavy lifting. 

Our goal is to have at least one Room Parent per class.  Thanks to the parents who already volunteered! We're off to a great start.
