HB 1033xx

 IMMEDIATE ACTION NEEDED -

MUNICIPAL VOICES NEED TO BE HEARD

The following House Bill can be heard at any time on the Senate Floor.

HB 1033xx, a special session bill, is a revenue p lan to raise funding for education. This will increase the combined states sales tax from 4.5% to 5.5%  ensuring that Oklahoma has the highest average sales tax rate in the nation, which will drive many to shop online.

We are also hearing this bill could be amended to remove the state's portion of the grocery sales tax which would be detrimental to city and towns.

Please contact your Senator by clicking here and let them know what your sales tax rate would be with this added percentage and ask them to vote NO on this bill.
