With the remodel project already underway, we will NOT be having a shredding event  this summer for our staff and parishioners, teachers and school families, as we have in the "even" years before.
We would like to let you know of an upcoming shredding opportunity, in case you are in need of those services.
There will be a:
Windermere Shredding Party for both Paper & Electronics

Windermere Office
311 N 85th
They will also be serving Barbecue!

Thank you to Sharon Giampietro for letting us know about this event!
St. John School will have their 33rd Annual Auction on Friday, April 20th at Fremont Studios, we would love for you to join us for a Spotlight Silent Auction, a wonderful meal by Kaspar's Catering, Live Auction, and dancing afterwards.  Click here to order tickets.

All of the St. John 8th graders created etched stemless wine glasses to celebrate their past nine years at school.  The 9 themes are from each of their years at school - wonder, light, love, etc.  All parents and parishioners can order them. They will be delivered in and around the Auction, April 20th.   Click here to see and order all of the glasses.

Here are a couple of nuggets that have been accumulating in my notes.  Enjoy.

Hi Bill
The Winter Olympics ended a few of weeks ago and I thought of the slogan  "NO PAIN, NO GAIN".
That slogan reminds me of a young man who was not a typical athlete as he was busy doing other things. He took care of his widowed mother. Had many friends and followers who enjoyed being with him. He could laugh and cry, loved to walk - miles and miles. However, he met a very brutal death.  His pain was our gain so that we could enter heaven.  His name was Jesus.

And, for St. Patty's Day, an Irish blessing:
May the road rise to meet you,
may the wind be ever at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
and the rains fall soft upon your fields.
And until we meet again,
may God hold you in the palm of his hand.

If you have prayer nuggets you'd like to share with the parish, email Bill Marty, [email protected].  Thanks!
Saint of the Month
Saint Athanasius
(296-373 Egypt)
Feast: May 2

Each month a portrait of the Saint of the Month is displayed in the church in one of the south side shrines.  You are welcome to spend some time reflecting on the life of the Saint and praying for their intercessions.
