Dear Colleagues and Friends,
A new calendar year and quarter bring renewed energy and a driving spirit, and the Division of Arts and Humanities ushers in the New Year reminded of our continued excellence.
This month in particular, I am incredibly proud of the collective work of our entire Department of Philosophy. To be released shortly, the department's graduate program is receiving its highest ranking in one of academia's most well-respected publications. The honor - placing the program as one of the top 20 in the nation - is truly a reason to celebrate.
I have been participating greatly in the campus planning for the new Living and Learning Neighborhood, a future home for the division that will be an enriching, vibrant and collaborative community. It will be a 'neighborhood like no other,' as we are all coming to realize, and a place for our students, faculty, staff and friends to experience the impact of the arts and humanities.
Happy New Year,
Dean Cristina Della Coletta
