Runway 13/31 Temporarily Reopened
While crews wrap up some electrical work, Runway 13/31 has temporarily reopened without runway markings. All taxiways are open and the ILS is back in service!

Following the Thanksgiving holiday, a coal tar seal will be applied to the entire runway. A schedule of the seal and striping will be provided before work begins.

Runway 17/35 will be closed during tower hours next Monday through Wednesday (November 23-25) as electrical crews finish the installation of the Runway 17 PAPI.

In the following weeks you'll also see new, larger signs and enhanced pavement markings added to the intersection of Taxiways Charlie and Delta to make navigating the area safer.

Please continue to check NOTAMs and don't hesitate to give us a call if you have any questions. We thank you for your continued patience - we're in the homestretch now!

Military Training Exercise a Big Success
This past Tuesday, November 17, the airport hosted a joint military training exercise with the Army National Guard.

The exercise included participation from local agencies including San Marcos Fire Department, San Marcos Police Department, Hays County Sheriff's Office, San Marcos EMS, South Hays EMS, Caldwell County, DPS, San Marcos Fire Marshall's Office, and Hays County Justice of the Peace.

We owe a special thank you to Specialized Aero for providing the aircraft fuselage and wings used as props for the drill!

Check out the story on KEYE for more information.
