Thoughts From Pastor Glen

It was fun to spend some time with our new members last Sunday. Our class was a little smaller than normal, but it allowed us time to laugh and tell stories. Please be on the look out for these people and welcome them when you see them. Their installation will be this coming weekend.

Saturday, April 1st
is CLEAN UP THE YARD DAY!
We will gather at  7:00 a.m. at the church. Bring your trimmers, clippers, shovels and rakes. Coffee & donuts will be available.

I want to thank Bobbi Edwardson for her Lenten presentation on prayer last Wednesday.

Many of you asked for some of the material Bobbi used, and we have added the documents to
this post on our blog. Look towards the bottom of the post where you will see an "Update" section with the links to these documents.

Next up on our Lenten journey this evening will be Duane Gilson as he shares his experience of spending a week at the City of Joy in Rwanda.

You will have an opportunity to share a free-will offering to the ministry of the City of Joy tonight.

Backpacks are our Lenten project. Please put a backpack on your shopping list and bring it to worship any time through Easter! These backpacks will be given to a local school to distribute to low income students.

Sign up to purchase an Easter Lily April 1st, 2nd, 8th or 9th during services. The cost is $9.00 each. We will use the lilies during our Easter worship services, and then we ask those that purchase them, to take them home to enjoy.

I was pleasantly surprised by our worship number last weekend which was 437, given that the northern migration has started. Again, many of you said "good-bye". It's my hope that you all share a memorable and safe summer.

Peace & love,
Pastor Glen
