The Voice For Your Business Interests

In 2018, the CMC aims to be the catalyst for your business success! A primary goal of the CMC is to facilitate the growth of your business and help our region thrive. We accomplish this by following four core strategies: Promote, Inform, Connect, and…

ADVOCATE!

As a recognized voice of the region on issues like development, infrastructure investments, transportation, and workforce needs, the CMC is an active advocate for area business interests. As one of the few chambers that advocates at the local, state, and federal levels, the CMC is protecting your interests at all levels of government.

The legislative session in Annapolis has just begun, so the CMC is now very focused on state level actions effecting your business. The CMC’s Legislative Committee annually reviews more than 50 bills and advocates on the 10-20 bills that will have the most impact on your business.

We are working hard to delay implementation of the Paid Sick Mandate in order to give you sufficient time to position your business for full compliance. We are also monitoring several bills such as Minimum Wage Increase and Restrictive Scheduling. As session progresses, we will provide regular updates on our advocacy efforts!

We are here to advocate for your business interests, so please stay engaged and reach out to me directly ( Raj@CentralMarylandChamber.org ) if there are particular bills or issues you want the CMC to address.

I look forward to a successful 2018 legislative session!

Your partnership is greatly appreciated,
Raj Kudchadkar, Esq, MPP
