Cove's junior high will perform the musical Schoolhouse Rock at 1:30 PM and 6:30 PM in the Cove School gym. It will feature songs loved by generations of kids and adults! Don't miss this opportunity to celebrate our junior high cast and crew members.

FREE UIC FLAMES GAME FOR COVE FAMILIES

The UIC Flames and the Alvin H. Baum Family Fund have invited Cove to a free UIC Flames basketball game at 3 PM. There will be a pregame party and ticket pickup in the student services building at 1:30 PM. Parents will be responsible for transporting their students to the game, as well as supervising their students during the game.  For those who have signed up, please see the attached flyer for details on how to get your tickets. DAD'S/SPECIAL FRIEND'S BOWLING EVENT

Dad or a special friend and their Cove student are encouraged to spend this fun-filled afternoon together bowling at Pinstripes in Northbrook! ERIN'S LAW PARENT INFORMATION NIGHT

All parents and guardians are encouraged to attend this informational event from 6:30 PM to 8 PM at Cove regarding Erin's Law, a House Bill requiring schools to implement  age-appropriate sexual assault and abuse awareness and prevention curriculum. Speaker Victor Pacini will share what will be covered in his presentation to students on February 7. This evening is specially designed for parents of elementary and junior high students. STUDENT COUNCIL BOOK DRIVE
Wednesday, December 20 to Wednesday, January 31
All are encouraged to contribute new and gently used children's books (aged birth through 6th grade) to Cove's Junior High Student Council book drive. The books will be donated to Bernie's Book Bank.  For more information, please contact Donna Torf at  [email protected] .

ELEMENTARY AND JUNIOR HIGH SOCIAL EVENT
Friday, February 2

All elementary and junior high students can enjoy swimming and pizza at the Lifetime Fitness in Skokie. Students will take a bus from school and be back at Cove for pick up at 6:30 PM. Please fill out the attached permission slip with payment to Cove's front office by Monday, January 29th. STUDENT COUNCIL PET SUPPLIES DRIVE
Tuesday, February 6 to Saturday, February 24
Help support the High School Student Council with donations for Orphans of the Storm in Riverwoods, IL.  They are collecting dog and cat food, pet supplies, blankets and newspaper. Collection boxes are located at the front of the building.  Each classroom will also have a box for newspaper.  Thank you in advance!  For more information, please contact Robin Johnstone at  [email protected] .

Cove's Junior High and High School basketball teams will be taking a field trip to watch the Windy City Bulls, a minor league team for the Chicago Bulls, at 10 AM. There are activities for all interests, including mathematics, robotics, homework help, sports, music and so much more. Please note that parents are responsible for arranging transportation home from after school programs.
