Bell Prairie’s Student Led Conferences
March 15 th ~ 4:30- 6:30

Your child(ren) will be showcasing their work and discussing educational goals with you through a new format called Student-Led Conferences. During this open house, your child will serve as the host/hostess of their homeroom and encore classes. They will lead the discussion about their work, while teachers will help direct conversation and answer questions you may have. We hope that you will get to see rather than simply being told about all of the fantastic things your child does each day.

4:30-5:30 p.m. Last Names beginning with A-M
5:30-6:30 p.m. Last Names beginning with N-Z

Siblings are welcome to attend this open house. Due to limited parking and space in our building we are suggesting the following schedule.

We are excited to see you at this celebration of learning!

Reading Round-Up
K-2 Reading Round-up was a great success. I think all the students had a lot of fun. Thank you to PTA for putting this event on for our students every year. What a great way to reward our students for going over and beyond by reading outside of school.  This extra effort can make a huge impact on reading success.  We also want to give Community America Credit Union for donating the cookies for dinner.

3-5 Reading Round-up field trip is scheduled for May 8 th . More information will be sent out after spring break.
Critical Attendance Procedures:
Absenteeism Procedures:
If your student will be absent or late for any reason, you must call the Attendance Line at 321-5022. Please feel free to leave a message at any hour if no one is available to answer the phone. You may also email Callie Shelton and Brenda McKenzie, if this is more convenient.

This is especially important in the cold months so we can verify the absent or late student is not still waiting or stranded at a bus stop in extremely cold conditions.
Procedure for Change in Transportation:
If you need to make a change in your child’s transportation at the end of day and you didn’t send a note in the morning with your child, please send an email to the following people. All emails must arrive before 2:00 PM.
