EARLY RELEASE MOVIE AFTERNOON
Wednesday October 25th

PLEASE JOIN US ON WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 25th for our second Early Dismissal movie of the school year! We are happy to report that as in previous years, to help our parents, on the last Wednesday of most months (excluding December and June), we will provide a movie and childcare in the school auditorium for lower school students, with a signed permission slip from their parents. Upper school students are welcome to volunteer, and require a signed permission slip as well.

Please note the following change:
  • EFFECTIVE THIS MONTH - FOR THE SAFETY OF ALL OF OUR CHILDREN, NO PAYMENTS CAN BE ACCEPTED THE DAY OF THE MOVIE*
Whenever possible, Early Dismissal movies will be selected that support the IB Learners Profile.  In keeping with current our IB Learner's Profile focus on being COMMUNICATORS, this month's movie will be A BUG'S LIFE, an animated comedy/adventure and the story of an ant who recruits other insects in a battle to save his colony and their home. Children will be given snacks in the cafeteria after dismissal at 1:20 p.m.  The movie begins at 2:00 p.m. and pick-up will be at 3:30pm at the front door.

  • Seating is limited and tickets will be sold for $5 per person on a first come first serve basis. The price includes the movie, 1 bottle of water and 1 bag of Skinny Pop® popcorn which will be provided as snacks. No additional snacks will be sold. Please remember to check the box on the permission slip if your child CANNOT have popcorn.
  • Payment is accepted by cash or check, or now you can pay online at www.rispto.orgNo tickets will be sold at the door. Please note: there are no refunds for children who do not attend the movie.
  • *Please remember: Do not send your child to the movie with money in hand - they will not be able to attend.
If you are interested in having your child attend the movie on Wednesday, October 25th, please return this form, or see here for the form in Spanish, along with cash or check (payable to 'Rogers PTO') by Monday, October 23rd. Parents interested in volunteering please email  Katherine Golar Morris (please put "MOVIE" in the subject field).

If you have an upper school student who would like to volunteer please write their name on the permission slip and indicate "volunteer". Please note: in order to continue providing the Early Dismissal Movies, we will be asking every parent whose child attends the movies to volunteer for this activity, or another PTO-sponsored activity, one afternoon a year. If you have not already done so, please feel free to sign up using the Volunteer Link in this issue of the Current.

Thank you for your interest in and support of this valuable activity, and for being involved in our PTO!

Warmly,

Katherine Golar Morris and the Early Dismissal Movie Team
