EXCEPTIONAL CHILDREN'S WEEK MARCH 12-16ECWEEK
Milton HS Celebrates Exceptional Children's Week: March 12-16
"Connecting Educators, Students and Communities"
This week, students and staff will be highlighting both the accomplishments of our special needs students along with the inclusive environment we have created here at Milton HS.
Monday-Friday: Join us during lunch to sign the pledge "Spread the Word to End the Word" - The word "retarded" hurts millions of people with disabilities. Take the pledge and help promote the new "R" word: RESPECT. Also...check out the decorated hallways, scan the QR code to learn more about disabilities and take the quiz to be entered in a raffle to win $50 at the Pep Rally on Friday.
Monday: As students enter the building, please join us in designing your own puzzle piece to add to our collage that will be on display.
Thursday: Simulation Stations in the Media Center during lunch wherein students and staff can "experience" different challenges that our students with disabilities may live with every day.
Friday: Wear your Exceptional Children's Week t-shirt (or RED) for the Pep Rally on Friday and watch for a special announcement. If you were unable to pre-order a t-shirt last week, limited quantity will be available for purchase ($10) on Wednesday on 5200 hall. Special THANKS to the Milton HS PTO for their support!
