Meet the Member
Sarah Doane, Buena Vista Builders
We are proud to announce that our own Sarah Doane, affiliate member of Buena Vista Builders, was a finalist for the NAHB Young Professional Award.
'The NAHB Young Professional Award recognizes young building industry professionals under the age of 45 that propel their careers forward; advance in local, state, and national associations; advocate for the home building industry, engage with peers and embed themselves as exceptional members of their communities.'
Sarah was previously employed by the HBASC where she was involved in the planning process of two Parade of Homes and helped start the annual Chili Cook-Off. Along with being a HBASC Affiliate member, she is a member of the Kiwanis of Durango club and the Durango Elks Lodge. Sarah made a career change in the fall of 2016 and has been working at Buena Vista Builders, Inc. ever since then. She enjoys learning about the "other side" of the building industry.
"Before starting at BVB, I had minimal knowledge of the building trades. It takes an army to build something from nothing and I'm happy to experience it," Sarah states. Although another was chosen as the winner for NAHB Young Professional in Region E, Sarah strives to keep learning and to keep being an active BVB team member.
