Earlier this week, Data Center staff found an error in the HUD CoC APR report in HMIS. We've found that if certain grant start dates are selected within PIT months (January, April, July and October), PIT counts for people and households are reported as zero even if people are enrolled at that time.
Who does this error impact?
At this time, this error is most likely to effect HUD CoC funded projects with grant start dates in October.
What should my project do if we're impacted by this error?
If you have a grant with a start date in October and due date in January, we strongly encourage you to submit an AAQ or contact your HUD representative to ask for an extension due to an error in the report.
Earlier today, the HMIS Lead, MCAH suggested that projects change their grant start and end dates when running the report to ensure the PIT counts for people and households are populated. Please do not do this as it will not produce accurate data, which HUD requires.
