Between a Study Group and a Practice Group?
A
Practice Group is led by someone who has taken courses and helps the community of therapists come together to practice on one another. They will organize the dates, times, meeting locations. They may have resources available like websites and Facebook pages, and contact information for local assistance.
A Study Group is led by someone qualified by the Institute and recommended by at least one instructor. The group leader will usually select a topic to review and practice, and will answer questions and correct hand positions, if needed.

The Journal of Alternative and Complementary Medicine
has recently published an article by Eric Leskowitz, MD, entitled
CranioSacral Therapy, Brain Injury, and American Football: Time for a Convergence.
The article supports research that CST improves symptoms of concussion and mild traumatic brain injury among football players.
Eric Leskowitz, MD, retired recently as a member of the Department of Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School. He continues to lead the Integrative Medicine Task Force at the Harvard-affiliated Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital.
The significance of this article appearing in this journal is remarkable because the readership includes
conventional medicine professionals, nurses, psychiatrists, and psychology practitioners; alternative medicine practitioners, researchers, and specialists; schools of Oriental medicine; and pharmaceutical, herbal, and other therapeutic industry professionals; among others.

The Dr. John E. Upledger Foundation's Veterans Therapy Program was a seven-day, multi-disciplinary treatment program including pre and post testing held in November at the Upledger Institute in Palm Beach Gardens, FL. Participants benefitted from hours of hands-on multiple-therapist sessions, as well as supportive group sessions to facilitate each client's healing process.
Burn Loeffke, a retired military officer who has been wounded and survived two parachute malfunctions and two helicopter crashes in combat attended the program in November 2017.
