Easter Brunch Tickets on Sale
Tickets for our Brunch with the Easter Bunny go on sale Saturday, March 24 at the Paradise Double Ice Complex (cash, credit or debit are accepted). The Brunch takes place Saturday, March 31 and features free bouncy castle rides, colouring stations, and a chance to win some great prizes! King's Photography will also be on site. Multicultural Day
On Sunday, March 18 sights, sounds and tastes from around the world filled the Paradise Double Ice Complex. The first ever Town of Paradise Multicultural Showcase featured great cuisine, bright performances, and informative cultural exhibitions; all in celebration of diversity and inclusion in Paradise. The Town thanks all those who participated and helped make this event such a great success! 
Celebrating World Poetry Day and National Poetry Month
At the regular publi c meeting of council on Tuesday, March 20, Mayor Dan Bobbett signed a proclamation from the League of Canadian Poets declaring March 21 as World Poetry Day, and April as National Poetry Month in the Town of Paradise. The Proclamation was accompanied by a poetry reading from Deputy Mayor Laurie.  National Poetry Month brings together schools, publishers, libraries, organizations, and poets from across the country to celebrate poetry and its important place in our culture.
Field Time Rental Requests
Requests are now being accepted for Town of Paradise field rentals for the 2018 summer sports season. Groups and / or individuals interested in renting field space for regular times and / or tournaments are required to provide submissions by April 20, 2018. Donation Program Reminder
Did you know your community group or organization may be eligible for a donation through the Town's Annual Donation Program? Applications for this Program must be received before March 31, 2018. Full program details and application forms are available on the website.
Habitat for Humanity
Congratulations to Abigail Smith and Faith Ross of Holy Family Elementary for being recognized in the Meaning of Home essay contest in support of Habitat for Humanity Canada. Abigail and Faith placed in the top 10 in a national contest sponsored by Genworth Canada. Students from across Canada in Grades 4, 5 and 6 submitted essay about what home means to them. As national finalists, a $10,000 combined donation on behalf of Abigail and Faith was made to Habitat with Humanity NL. Their classes also enjoyed a pizza party as part of the celebrations.

Good Friday Closures
The Town of Paradise advises residents that in observance of Good Friday on March 30, Town Hall and the Paradise Double Ice Complex (including the Body Quest Fitness Centre and Rotary Paradise Youth and Community Centre) are closed. Garbage Collection (Area 5A and 5B) and Recycling Collection (Area 5B) will move ahead by one day, with collections taking place Saturday, March 31, 2018. Please remember to have carts to the curb by 8:00 a.m.
