Troop Cookie Managers and Troop Leaders who use Bank of America,
 
Your SU is assigned to Bank of America for Product Sales and most likely your Troop Account was set up through our council office. Because you don't have paper checks, you have alternative instructions on how to wrap up your troop's Cookie Program if you have a balance due.
 
If your troop account was not set up through our office and/or you do not use Bank of America for Product Sales deposits, you should use the previous instruction in the last Cookiegram.
 
Step 5 of 'How to wrap up the financial part of your Cookie Program' in the previous Cookiegram indicated that you should take the following steps: Run the report 'Troop Balance Summary' on Smart Cookies to see if you have a balance due. If you do, and the balance is not due to still having cookies left or a parent not turning in money owed, you need to pay off the balance. For troops with accounts that were not set up by council, write a check for the balance due and deposit into the Product Sales Account. This deposit should also be recorded in Smart Cookies under Troop Transactions. Run your Troop Balance Summary Report to confirm your balance is zero.
 
Bank of America Troop Accounts do not come with paper checks; you will need to request a transfer of funds if your troop has a balance due (not related to a parent debt or unsold cookies). To request a transfer use the following steps:
 
  1. Click this link to go to the special form
  2. Fill in the fields* as requested and submit.
  3. Enter this amount as a deposit in Smart Cookies under Troop Transactions.
 
You will receive two emails; the first indicates we've received the request. This is a notification to you and should not be used as a receipt. The second email will arrive when the transfer is completed. Use this email as a receipt.
 
*You'll be asked to provide the account number for your troop account. The troop leader received an email with this information when the card was issued. The account number is not the same as the number on your PSA Deposit Card. If you need this number please email [email protected] with the subject line "Troop XXXX, Troop Account Number Needed" and an email will be resent with that info.
