Architecture Month Firm Crawls: Call for Firms
|
Each April for Architecture Month, Charlotte AEC firms participate in our Uptown or South End firm crawls, opening their doors to fellow AIA members and the public in a fun and popular open-house, behind-the-scenes event. Take this opportunity to display work, connect to others in the profession and to the community, and socialize.
- Thursday, April 5 Uptown Firm Crawl
- Thursday, April 19 South End Firm Crawl
Each event is from 4:30 to 6:30 pm followed by a closing reception. If your firm would like to be considered for participation, email
[email protected]. (Please note, however, that not all firms can be guaranteed a spot on the crawls. Participating firms will be determined by the final route decided by the planning committee.)

CANstruction Charlotte 2018 at Lenny Boy Brewing
|
CANstruction 2018 is coming!
Each year, the Charlotte AEC community and affiliates join together for this charitable design/build event as teams assemble structures made from canned goods. The structures are then judged in various categories before being demolished and the cans donated to Second Harvest Food Bank.
Last year, our teams donated a record 25,000 pounds of food, and we named winners in seven categories, including Structural Ingenuity and Best Use of Labels (winner of the latter pictured at right: We CAN Do it! by Little and Edifice).
Build Day will be Saturday, April 28, at Lenny Boy Brewing in Charlotte. Now is the time to gather your teammates and brainstorm. Registration will open soon!
