A Message from Our High School Friends:
Hello Parents of Natick Preschoolers,
My name is Toni Sterling and my partner, Lilian Briggs, and I are putting together a
Diaper Drive for A Place to Turn in Natick. We are collecting diapers because about 3,000 families in Natick and Framingham alone struggle to buy diapers for their child. We
will be accepting any diapers but sizes 5 and 6 are most needed, and collecting them
from March 1st to April 5th. We would appreciate any diapers you can donate and the
center will accept them even if the pack of diapers has been opened. Please place your
donations in the box near the front office. Thank you for your donation.

Family Resources of Natick

Family Resources of Natick is an excellent resource for
Natick families with young children.
We're bringing back drop-in time just for babies, and adding one for grandparents with their grandchildren! Open Gym continues through mid-April, and we're bringing in two special programs this spring: on April 3, PUDDLESTOMPERS for preschool-age children, and on April 11, The Happiest Baby on the Block class for parents and caregivers of young infants [...}

In "Respectful Representations of Disability in Picture Books" (http://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/trtr.1632/abstract), an article in The ReadingTeacher by Ashley E. Pennell, Barbara Wollak, and David A. Koppenhaver, the authors write about how they compiled a list of 72 picture books (https://www.goodreads.com/review/list/36555428-inclusive-literature?shelf=read) that "offer respectful representations of disability that are suitable for all readers". The books range from King for a Day by Rukhsana Khan to Cece Bell's El Deafo.
A Great Resource!!
