It's 1927. Playboy Jimmy Winter is celebrating yet another marriage. Three thugs are trying to figure out where to hide 400 cases of gin and their beautiful bootlegger boss Billie Bendix is looking for a place to stash the hooch and hide out from the Prohibitionists. Add some chorus girls, a Vice Squad, and of course a romance or two to the mix; season this soufflé with the glorious music of George and Ira Gershwin, and voila! Nice Work If You Can Get It, the riotous multiple Tony and Drama Desk Award-winning musical comedy takes all these ingredients and creates the epitome of a 1920's screwball comedy perfect for 21st Century audiences.

Aristophanes' bawdy and provocative 4th century comedy, Women in Assembly, is a play that sometimes reads as if it was written, well, yesterday, in spite of the fact that it is some 3,000 years old.

Featuring a 'women-on-top' plot in the vein of Lysistrata, the play features a fed up housewife with a mind... and moxie!  At a 'ladies only' festival, she conspires with her friends to overthrow the all male Assembly and get her nation back on track; while their husbands sleep, the women steal and don the men's clothing...

Women in Assembly, Aristophanes' penultimate play, was first performed early one morning in 393 BCE at the festival  of Dionysius, where it won first prize.

Every mother dreams her children will grow up to be happy, healthy, and successful.  Every Jewish mother secretly - and often not so secretly -  adds specifics to her wish:  A doctor, a lawyer, a dentist, or these days, a Silicon Valley tycoon would make her very happy.  Brad Zimmerman's mother has finally adapted to her 'actor-waiter' son's career choice and financial situation: "If all goes well, I think Brad is going to buy a bookcase," she boasts to her friends.

My Son the Waiter:  A Jewish Tragedy   is the story of Brad Zimmerman's struggle to fulfill his dream and 'make it' as a comedic actor in New York.  One-part standup, one-part theatrical, and all parts uproarious  My Son the Waiter:  A Jewish Tragedy  has garnered rave reviews wherever it has played.

The World Premiere of Imagine - A Beatles Celebration, created by award-winning director/choreographer Kevin Black, will open at Stage Door Theatre on February 2nd and run through March 11th.  Black, the creator of numerous Stage Door hits such as The Soul of Motor City, Swing! Swing! Swing! and What's New Pussycat? has taken the music we all remember by the band that changed the face of music, and put his own inimitable spin on it.

The Beatles left a permanent mark in history with their vast songbook of now timeless classics.  Imagine honors their incredible legacy with a joyous celebration of these legendary musical innovators. More than 24 Beatles tunes are included in the production: "Twist and Shout", "I Saw Her Standing There", "Hard Day's Night", "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band", "Blackbird", "Day Tripper", "Let It Be", and Hey Jude", are just a few of the iconic songs that will be interpreted by a cast of five talented singers and a live three-piece band.

A wickedly inspired musical re-imagining of the Frankenstein legend, Mel Brooks' comedy masterpiece follows bright young Dr. Frankenstein (that's Fronkensteen!) as he attempts to complete his grandfather's masterwork and bring a corpse to life. Together with his oddly shaped and endearing helper Igor (that's Eye-gor), his curvaceous lab assistant Inga, and in spite of his incredibly self-involved madcap fiancé Elizabeth, Frankenstein succeeds in creating a monster - but not without scary and quite often hilarious complications.

When a woman is critically injured in an accident, can the same man who almost took her life safe her?  There are encounters in life that take you somewhere you've never been and never meant to go.  With violent precision, savage imagery, and theatrical vitality, Lydia Stryk writes an extraordinary  play about recovery.  An Accident is both a visceral playground and an emotional minefield.
