Pre-Lenten Retreat This Saturday

The Episcopal Diocese of Chicago and St.Mark's Episcopal Church are holding a one-
day pre-Lenten retreat - BECOMING THE STORY WE TELL - this Saturday, January 27 from 8:30 a.m. - 3 p.m. at St. Mark's. 
 
Pre-Registration Re quired: Send an email to office@stmarksevanston.org by Thursday, January 25.  $20 check payable to St. Mark's Episcopal Church, cash or credit card on or before the day of the event. Includes light breakfast and lunch.
 
About the Retreat: This one day retreat - Becoming the Story We Tell - is designed for all who want to learn more about re-entering the deep drama of the gospel and reclaiming the deep connection between baptism and the story of Christ's passion.  There will be two tracks during the retreat - one for clergy and one for lay persons. 
 
Dr. Hill is a presbyter in the Diocese of Toronto in the Anglican Church of Canada.  He is a member of the North American Academy of Liturgy, an executive of Liturgy Canada and focuses his work on strengthening the ritual practices of the Church in a time when the role of the Church in society is rapidly changing. 
 
Pastor Bullock is Rector of St. Mark's Episcopal Church and focuses her ministry on empowering communities of faith to live fully into their baptismal promises and ministry. She is currently working on her thesis, "(Re)Learning the Grammar of Our Faith" toward completion of a Doctor of Ministry degree from Bexley Seabury Seminary.
