Faye Knew What She Wanted

At ten years old, Faye knew what she wanted, and she made sure her CASA volunteer Patti knew it, too.  She didn't want to live with her mother, who was addicted to drugs. She didn't want to live with her grandmother, who suffered from depression. She didn't want to live with her father, who was in prison. Cherish Speaker Created Success From Childhood Pain and Chaos

Anthony Trucks took a childhood of abusive foster homes, chaos and pain and turned it into adulthood as a family man, former professional football player and a successful entrepreneur. Trucks will bring his message of inspiration and hope against all odds to the 2018 Cherish the Children luncheon April 9 at the Omni Dallas Hotel.

CASAblanca Party A Winning Hand

Dallas CASA Young Professionals' CASAblanca third annual casino party raised almost $100,000 for Dallas CASA. The evening featured casino tables, The Special Edition Band, dancing and a chance to share Dallas CASA's mission with young philanthropists.

Heart of Dallas Fast Pitch

Dallas CASA was one of six Dallas-area charities to be beneficiaries of the Heart of Dallas Fast Pitch. Previous chair of the Dallas CASA Board of Directors John Gibson made a three-minute presentation to the group. This "fast pitch" ended with an award of $15,000 to Dallas CASA.  The Heart of Dallas is a nonprofit organization that hosts sports and entertainment events benefiting Dallas nonprofits. The check was presented to Dallas CASA during the Heart of Dallas Bowl.

Board of Directors Members

Dallas CASA welcomes two more new members to our board of directors.
  • Hannah May is the Dallas CASA Children's Council representative on the board. An entrepreneur and owner of May Partners, Inc. with 20 years of experience, she's been involved with Dallas CASA and the Children's Council for many years.
  • Stephanie Stewart is vice president and chief information officer at Pioneer Natural Resources. She has more than 20 years of experience in information technology in the energy industry.

New D allas CASA Volunteers


Dallas CASA  welcomes volunteers who have completed 30 hours of training and courtroom observations and are ready to begin serving abused  and  neglected children in need. Click here  to read the names of the newest volunteers.

Visit Dallas CASA's blog to learn about a special gift for one of our youth. His advocate Ian knew he loved Denver Broncos player Demaryius Thomas  and wrote the player a letter. The player responded with a signed football that read "Keep fighting young man. Stay strong."
