Hey Everyone!
We just want to thank you all for all that you have done to step up over the past year to help support the high school ministry during this period of transition. We really could not have done this without you. As we enter 2018, we expectantly pray that God brings us our next youth pastor as well as other vacancies that we have. We know that God has a plan for Westover's High School Ministry and we continue to pray that he leads the person that he has chosen for this role to us.
God has answered a prayer in one aspect of our team hiring. PJ Harvey, who was our part-time Pastoral Associate, has accepted a new position within Student Ministries as our Student Ministry Worship and Creative Arts Associate, a full-time position that crosses over between High School and Middle School. This position will allow PJ to focus his gifts on developing both the High School and Middle School Worship Teams, as well as help to guide our Large Group experience through weekly programming of both the Fuse Wednesday night service and the Impact Sunday Morning service. This will also allow him to help with the planning and implementation of various trips and retreats in both High School and Middle School as well as help both the High School and Middle School teams develop graphics and videos. We are so excited about this new role and cannot wait to see how God uses this new role to align our High School and Middle School Ministries!
As we head into February, please keep Aaron Riddle in your thoughts and prayers. If you were not in the service on Sunday, Aaron this past weekend had his appendix rupture and had an emergency appendectomy. Please be in prayer for his recovery, for rest, and also for his family and wife Hannah as she is expecting their fourth child in a few short weeks.
We are excited to be back at Fuse this week continuing our series Gospel Identity! We will be having our usual dinner starting at 6:30. All you need to bring is $2! This week we will be having Chick-Fil-A!
