Dear TBC Community,
As you know, the storms that we have experienced over the last week have caused quite a bit of damage all across this area. Unfortunately, during Wednesday's storm, the temple lost power, and, as of this afternoon, it has not been restored.
I am grateful that our friends at Congregation Shir Shalom (46 Peaceable Street, Ridgefield, 06877) have invited us to celebrate Shabbat with their community, and I am very much looking forward to joining them tonight for their Ruach Shabbat Service at 7:30pm.
I am still holding out hope that the temple's power will be restored in time for tomorrow's Bar Mitzvah service. However, we have already made plans in case that doesn't happen, and I will send out a message in the morning to let you know whether we will be able to have the service at TBC.
I hope that everyone is safe after this week's storm and that this Shabbat is restful and restorative for all of us!
