Dr. Coon will provide information on the work Oklahoma State University is currently performing in the food safety realm relative to the Food Safety Modernization Act and the Global Food Safety Initiative. He will also be seeking executive feedback related to food safety concerns focused on research needs and competencies needed in new graduates.

What are you currently most excited about with your work/career?
Building our clientele. Helping seniors live at home as long as possible. Also, so many people don't really understand medicare benefits so educating them is very rewarding.
What do you enjoy most about living, working and playing in Siouxland?
The people. For the most part Siouxland is blessed with a lot of honest, good, hardworking people. If you complain that there is nothing to do around here, you're just not looking hard enough!
Other volunteer / community involvement:
I volunteer at the Siouxland Center for Active Generations two times a week. I teach a Wednesday Senior Yoga class and a Friday morning fitness class.
