This week in RE we will begin learning about our new theme of CURIOSITY . We'll start off with "Curiosity and Understanding," where we seek to understand the whole story by being curious about everyone's perspective. Sharis Coleman-Derr will be sharing about her perspective on the world without sight, and Joe Meyers will be sharing about Helen Keller. Next week's topic is "Curiosity and Empathy."

THANK YOU  to all who supported our car wash last Sunday! We were thrilled to raise $353 toward our summer camp goal, putting us over $3,000, with a final goal of raising $4,000 . We are so excited and grateful for your support!

UUC Family, we need to keep the kitchen clean and orderly, especially now that we'll be having a catering business using our facilities. As we continue to grow and move forward, (please remember whenever you or your committee meets, you are responsible for cleaning up after your group and making sure chairs are returned to the closet, tables wiped down, dishes cleaned and put away, and trash is taken out.) We thank all of you for being a wonderful Support in helping us maintain UUC.

Mark your Calendar: Annual Congregation Meeting is Sunday, May 19 at 12:00pm. You can view UUC Congregation Report online under members.

UUC Kitchen Rental  – Beginning next week you’ll notice a change in UUC’s kitchen.  Our first renters, John Foster and Vanessa Vega-Colon from Williamsburg, VA are in the catering business known as Farm Fresh Catering.  They officially start in May.  They will be renting our kitchen from roughly 5:30 a.m to 9:30 a.m . Monday Through Friday, with some food deliveries in the afternoon.  Their company provides healthy prepared meals to child and day care centers and schools in Pinellas County.  John has been in the food preparation business for over 20 years and has been a managing partner of an Outback Steakhouse and a principal in several catering businesses.  Vanessa has worked in staffing, community relations, quality assurance, and marketing.  They have one son, five-year-old Andreo pictured along with them.  You’ll notice that we are sharing storage space with them both in one of our refrigerators and in our pantry.   There will be signs that clearly identify what dry and chill products are theirs.

Rental of our kitchen is a long-realized dream of many at UUC who had the vision and follow through to enhance these facilities for all of us in the congregation, and now for rental to a business that will generate revenue for UUC.
Please welcome John and Vanessa when you see them.
